Chile & Argentina trip
How to summarize 3 weeks and more than 2000 photos of a wonderful trip? Best of the best.
Here are the trip parts:
Two days in Argentina #
Just arrived in south of Chile, we crossed the Chile border to go in El Calafate. Our plan was to walk on the Perito Moreno Glacier in the Los Glaciares National Park.
Here are some Argentina landscapes...
The day we went in the national park, we had a wonderful sunrise:
Finally, here is the glacier!
Of course, having a whisky on the rocks with local ice, what's better?
We had luck to take a tour under the glacier as well:
That's me licking under the glacier!
Very green and healthy nature around the pure water...

Landscapes from our way back to Chile:
Patagonia #
We were based in Puerto Natales, the last city before the wild Chilean Patagonia, where we left our stuff we didn't need for the W circuit in Torres Del Paine. We rent camping utilities and left the city for 4 awesome cold days!
Let's go:
Complete freedom horses:
Me with the national park west side view, how stunning it was...
Panoramic view (3 manually merged photos):
The first day was good but the second day was already a bit more difficult because of the VERY cold night.
This was on our way to the Grey Glacier:
The second night was very tough because of rats in the Camp Italiano. We actually only slept 2 hours that night.
The third day:
We finally didn't do the last branch of the W because the weather was gracefully degrading and we were totally exhausted.
Sunrise of the fourth day:
No regrets, even exhausted, we had fun!
It even snowed that day at the Torres Del Paine:
Arrived to the park border, there were some starved animals:
My picture of the llama (related the heading photo):
Panoramic sunset from Puerto Natales once got back there (3 manually merged photos):
And after the mountain, let's meet the ocean!
Boat trip in Pacific #
For the next part of our trip, we moved back northward Chile so we sailed from Puerto Natales (A) to Puerto Montt (B).
A full week in a boat:
These following photos (boat trip) aren't ours, thanks to Rob de Moor!

Awesome panoramic sunset caught!
Chiloé Island #
Barely arrived in Puerto Montt, we spent like 24h in the beautiful Chiloé Island, we visited Castro and Ancud.
Castro harbor:
Ancud fishermen:
Villarrica volcano #
After something like 14h of bus from Puerto Montt, we arrived in the fabulous town of Pucón and climbed the Villarrica volcano (2847m):
This day was so bright, not a cloud, here are some views from the top of the volcano:
And after like 4 or 5 hours of climbing and around 1 hour on the sky roof, the downhill:
The same day, meanwhile we were in the natural spa, we could see the light of the volcano lava in the night far away, was impressive especially because we were there a few hours ago.
Valparaíso #
We finally finished our trip in the city of Valparaíso where we met friends there.
Harbor view from the oldest funicular of the city:
Valparaíso is very famous for its colored houses:
This is one of the Pablo Neruda's houses:
This city is a big art playground!
One of the most famous photos of Valparaíso: Shut down the TV and enjoy your life
:
For this shot, we were walking in the street and I saw this very original indoor decoration: must shoot:
This 3 weeks trip was really amazing and I will always be thankful to the person who invited me. The shared experience was intense and worthy, I wish to have new opportunities to enjoy such ventures in the future.
